In sharp contrast to the recent elaborately produced mega-events staged by Senators Ted Cruz and Rand Paul to announce their candidacies for the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton decided to do it her own way. The Wall Street Journal called it a low-key start, posting “a video online, followed by small events with voters spaced out slowly over coming weeks.”
The news was immediately greeted with a fair amount of doubt and derision.
